I will be offering the 9th in our series of Computer Basics’ seminars on Monday, September 26th from 3:00 – 4:30pm at the Charles Mack Citizens’ Center in downtown Mooresville, NC! Admission is free and the series is open to all! We’ll be discussing the basics of computer networking and setting up a small wireless network during the seminar. I hope to see you there!

No, Don’t Open That Attachment!

So you’ve received an email like this one. You weren’t in New York and you couldn’t have received a ticket. So all you have to do is click on the attachment and contest the ticket – not so fast!

That attachment is a virus! Be very careful when opening any attachments in your email. If you’re not expecting an attachment, don’t open it!

This type of email has become a favorite tool for hackers who are trying to infect your computer and eventually steal your personal info.
