This week Audi introduced a device that is basically an internet-based computer built right into the front panel of your dashboard. Other car makers, including Ford, plan to introduce similar technology, according to a published report released today.
Safety advocates see this as a bad move for obvious reasons, but advocates see it as an opportunity to enhance the car driving experience. You can catch more details in today’s New York Times
